Patrons
Thank you for expressing an interest in my artwork, your support is truly appreciated! All of my physical plots are available for purchase, though I recommend using the Contact form to inquire about the availability of any specific piece as the status indicated on this website may not be absolutely current.
I produce only low-volume unique edition plots, each being a one-of-a-kind original. Despite having digital origins, the physical manifestation of each piece is a technically demanding and time-consuming process, executed with utmost care. I strive to treat each patron with the same level of personal care and individual attention that the works themselves demanded - as each of you are also one-of-a-kind originals.
All works are plotted with archival pigment ink on acid-free paper. A few works may additionally include acrylic paint or other mixed-media as described individually. Unless otherwise indicated, most plots are 11” x 17” (US Tabloid/Ledger/”double-letter”). Unless otherwise indicated, most monochrome plots are offered at $400 (USD), multiple-color plots at $500 (USD).
Each work is hand-signed and includes a separate certificate of authenticity.
Shipped carefully - flat, unframed, in rigid mailer, with backer board, sealed inside plastic sleeve. US shipping is typically included (unless truly exceptional accommodations are requested). International shipping may incur additional cost depending on destination and delivery services requested, as some services in some locations are quite difficult to obtain - inquire for specifics if this might apply to you.
Aside: Each order will also contain a separate bonus postcard-sized (5” x 7”) plot, no charge. Chosen at random, subject to availability, content will vary, et cetera - so there’s no telling what you might receive, or even if will suit your taste, but it’s offered as an additional token of my appreciation for your support, with hope that you might enjoy the surprise!
A note about plotters and “perfection”:
A plotter is a high-precision device, but is not a perfect replication device. Minor variations caused by imperfect physical implements guarantee that no plotted work could ever be reproduced exactly ever again, thus ensuring that each piece is truly unique. For “perfect” reproduction en masse, a giclée printing process would typically be used for works such as these, but is a vastly different process than plotting. The result from a plotter is often more similar to hand-drawn work than a giclée print. Plotter “imperfections” may arise from a variety of micro-scale factors, including differential wear of the pen nib, uneven ink flow, varying pressure across uneven paper, and other such “real world” influences. Even the temperature, humidity and air currents in the environment may affect the character of the inking. As process art, these “imperfections” (so to speak) are actually desired by the artist as a characteristic feature of the final product.
A note about ID#’s and titles:
Internally, works are identified with a unique ID# of the form “Dyyyymmdd” to help indicate the date of initial creation, but not necessarily the date of plotting - though the two dates are typically contemporaneous. The “yyyy” represents the actual year, and the “mm” the actual month; but the “dd” may not always reflect the actual day, and so would be better interpreted as a “sequence number” within the indicated year/month. Most individual pieces fall with some larger titled “project” or “series”, but are unlikely to have their own unique titles - apart from their ID# (or “sequence”) within their respective project/series.
